Nicochares (d. ca. 345 BC), the Athenian old-comic playwright, produced in 388 BC Lakones and during the career of Aristophanes a play called Galatea, perhaps a forebear of Theocritus' Galatea. Ten titles survive; the treatment of Omphale in Heracles as Bride suggests to Dover the tenor of "mythological burlesque" (OCD.4). Suidas lists Ηρακλής Γάμων among nine total titles.
