Despite the retention of Jasper Griffin as Classics consultant, the production offers a few quirky inconsistencies not encountered in the Asquith film — e.g. Crocker-Harris' blackboard has the proem of Homer's Odyssey, in Taplow's recitation he reads from the Penguin (English) text and not from a Greek text. But this is pedantic objection to a fine production.
