Terry Strickland’s “The Three Fates” OGCMA
The three woman depicted in the painting depicted at right are identified as Diane Feissel, Sadie Valeri, and Alia El-Bermani. These three woman started an organization for painters, of which the artist takes part. Through their contribution, many artists are able to gain publicity and interest in the works that they would be unable to gain otherwise. In her statement about the painting, Strickland commented “This allegorical painting of Diane Feissel, Sadie Valeri and Alia El-Bermani as The Three Fates is my tribute to them and the generosity of spirit I find in this group of 14 artists”. — Supplied by Matalyn Cox W2016.
