Antonio Verrio (ca. 1639-1707), "The Heaven Room" 1697-1699, Burghley House, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England.

Antonio Verrio, an Italian master of interior design, decorates the grand parlor with a menagerie of mythological adaptations — Vulcan's disclosure of Mars' adulterous liaison with Venus (Hom. Od. 8) is among the centerpiece-depictions.

The Heaven Room of Burghley House is featured in a critical scene of "The Crown", season 4. Throughout the season Burghley House substitutes for Windsor Castle. But especially in the episode where Elizabeth chastises Charles and Diana for their adulterous affairs, the Heaven Room is played to great effect. — cf. Netflix, The Crown 4:9 (27:53)
