Athenian red-figure (500 to 450 BCE) pelike attributed to the Pan Painter, depicting Heracles slaying Busiris, the Egyptian priest, and two of his Egyptian attendants at the altar; on (back-)side B, Egyptian attendants flee for safety; National Archaeological Museum, Athens, inv. no. 9683; discovered at Thespiae, Boeotia, Greece.

Heracles uses one of his assailants to beat down two others; their attempt to offer the Greek hero as a human sacrifice has gone painfully wrong, and Heracles has turned the tables on them. (Cf. Helen Morales Greek Mythology p. 51)
