Baldassare Peruzzi (1481-1536), formerly attributed to Giulio Romano, "La Morte d'Orfeo," fresco, part of frieze (1511) in Sala del Fregio, Villa Farnesina, Rome.

Peruzzi's frieze details the career but especially the gruesome end of Orpheus at the hands of the bacchantes.
