OGCMA s.v. "Orpheus and Eurydice"

Orpheus and Eurydice with Hercules and Alcestis depicted on the pyramidal Mausoleum of Apuleius Maximus Rideus, 200-225 AD, dedicated by his wife Thanubra and their children, at Tatahouine, Tunisia (then called Ramada in South Tripoli), with an inscription. No Laitn inscription had been found farther south than this at the time.

LIMC Eurydike I.1: plate depicts relief of the mausoleum of D. Apuleius Maximus Rideus at Tathouine (Tunisia), at the Museum of Antiquities from El Amrouni. This is the south side of the mausoleum; on the north side are depicted Cerberus, Charon, Sisyphus, Ixion, and Tantalus. LIMC [G. Schwarz] notes that relief was for a time mis-assembled to position Eurydice immediately behind Alcestis.

Ancient Greek relief carving depicting a group of figures, possibly gods or mythological beings, with some holding objects.

Bilingual Latin/Neo-Punic inscription was reported in Athenaeum no. 3487, 25 Aug 1894.
