Pandora is an American who speaks perfect Greek. She is setting up shop at Zindros, a hotel. It verges upon being a brothel for American soldiers at the base nearby at Langada. It is a front for trafficking pilfered goods, smuggling.
The brothersÕ aunt is named Elpida.
In her acute attempt to seduce Manos, she says ÒYou have no idea what IÕm capable of. I am capable of everything, anything.Ó
The final scene is set at a local cultural festival. Electricity comes on in the village to reveal the fullness of the plot.
ItÕs a story told in a frame, which is the grown-up Vassilis talking to a man who wishes to buy the abandoned house from him.
