Hyginus Astronomus Astronomica, 2.11.1.1
Andromeda.
Andromeda — She is said to have been placed by Minerva among the constellations on account of Perseus' heroism, for he had freed her from the danger of the Cetus. And he received no small gratitude for this kindly deed. For that matter, neither her father Cepheus nor her mother Cassiepia were able successfully to entreat her from abandoning her parents and her homeland to follow Perseus. Euripides wrote most adequately about this in his play titled after her.

2.11.1.1 — Andromeda
