Netflix Television/BBC, Troy: Fall of a City, 2018, television series in eight episodes, directed by Mark Brozel, Owen Harris, and John Strickland; written by David Farr, Joe Barton, Nancy Harris, and Mika Watkins after Homer's Iliad.

Critically mixed and commerically unsuccessful series shadows but veers creatively from Homer in many aspects. Louis Hunter (Paris), Bella Dayne (Helen), Frances O'Connor (Hecuba), David Threlfall (Priam), and of course many others.

Noted from the outset, this adaptation includes the Olympians from the outset — the Judgment of Paris occuring about 5 minutes in — but by mid-series Zeus (Hakeem Kae-Kazim) withdraws the gods from the action and leaves the Trojans and Achaeans to slug it out on their own.
