Joseph-Jules-Emmanuel Descomps, called Cormier (1869-1950), "Danaïde (with lyre)" (ca. 1926), statuette in senozoan stone, 69.8 x 47.6 x 25 cm.; Paris, Musée d'Orsay, inventory number RF 3187. A nude female figure hovers over an abandoned lyre. — No amphora is apparent in the four angles imaged at the Orsay website. This conflicts with the site's statement of the alternate title for the sculpture: 'Femme à l'amphore." Note cross reference to Danaids1.0081_Descomps.
